MyWhy is a wellness and behavioral awareness tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical decisions.
By accessing or using the MyWhy mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and MyWhy ("we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
MyWhy is intended for adults aged 18 and older. The App is designed as a companion tool for individuals pursuing weight-loss goals, including those using weight-loss medications under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
By using the App, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the App. You are responsible for:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used in a manner we determine to be harmful or fraudulent.

The App is designed to support self-awareness and healthy behavioral patterns. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, therapy, or treatment plans.
MyWhy does not provide medical advice. The App's reflections, insights, and tracking features are informational and behavioral in nature. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
If you are taking weight-loss medication, you should do so only under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider. MyWhy's medication tracking features are a personal convenience tool and do not constitute medical guidance.
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information you encountered through the App.
MyWhy offers subscription plans that unlock premium features. Current plans include:
New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged according to the plan you selected.
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that period ends. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing. If pricing changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the App after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You may create and store content within the App, including reflections, notes, "Why" statements, and photos. You retain full ownership of all content you create.
Certain personal content — including your "Why" statements, journey reflections, personal notes, and motivation photos — is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
For content that is stored on our servers (such as treatment logs and weight entries), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App. This includes generating anonymous, aggregated insights as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to use the App to:
All content, design, code, graphics, trademarks, and other materials within the App — excluding user-generated content — are the property of MyWhy or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App.
The App may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and payment processors. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of any third-party services.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyWhy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App.
This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or health outcomes. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyWhy and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
You may stop using the App at any time. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you may do so through the App's settings or by contacting us.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — shall continue in effect after termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Stanislaus County, California.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyWhy regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
